Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual

Food Rules by Michael PollanYou may have heard some buzz lately about a newly released book called Food Rules: An Eater’ s Manual, written by Michael Pollan. After watching his interview with John Stewart on the Daily Show, I became very intrigued on his thoughts on food.  Actually, Pollan is considered an expert on food-related issues and has also wrote two other very popular books, The Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food.

“Don’t buy cereals that change the color of the milk,” (avoid foods with colors and additives) and “The whiter the bread, the sooner you’ll be dead,”  (whole grain is much better for you) are just two examples of his simple (and quite memorable/humorous rules) in his latest book that encourages people to eat simple yet healthier.

The book seems to be well-received based off most of the reviews I read on his book on Amazon.com with most people commenting how great a guide it is for those who seek to eat healthy. I look forward to picking up a copy — hey it’s an easy read ( only 70 pages!)
